Igalia, a Free Software Engineering Galician company, is currently
looking for an active and creative person who will be responsible for
several marketing and communication tasks.

      * Educational Requirements: 
              * University degree in Engineering, or any other related
                to marketing and communication.

      * Skills required: 
              * Ability to clearly and concisely draft ideas and
                concepts in written and oral form.
              * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both
                orally and in writing.
              * Excellent oral and written English.
              * Excellent organisational and public relations skills.
              * Ability to work in a team and to meet deadlines.
              * Proactive, energetic and optimistic approach to
                challenges.

      * Valued: 
              * 6-12 months of work experience in communications and/or
                marketing in a tech company.
              * Relation and presence in any free software community.

      * Responsibilities: 
              * Assist in the production of marketing and communication
                materials.
              * Assist in the organisation of events and contests.
              * Assist in the management of our hackers' attendance at
                free software conferences.
              * Collaborate and participate in free software
                communities, mostly in communication, marketing and
                promotion.
              * Follow up and evaluate sponsorships and collaboration
                agreements.
              * Follow up marketing and communication providers (design,
                press releases...). 
              * Maintain and improve igalia's websites: igalia.com,
                community.igalia.com, blogs.igalia.com.
              * Assist in the design and implementation of communication
                strategy for Igalia's internationalisation Plan.
